I am excited by the concepts you are about to discover as I know they have had a profound impact on my life and also on many others. The concepts of this book actually all started 15 years ago when I was working for my millionaire mentor to learn how to become a self-made millionaire before I turned thirty.
He was an example in many areas especially financial success, but a warning in others as he was a workaholic and neglected his relationships. This made me commit to a promise that in the future any business or incomes I developed must be done in such a way that they would be largely automated and could ideally run without me, as my goal of being wealthy was to have not only the money but also importantly the time to do as I pleased. Effectively to be time rich so to speak which is worth a lot more then millions in the bank and being time poor and stressed.
Thus I set about building my business and life this way and being a generation X I had also seen my parents generation, the baby boomers, work hard all there life to one day retire to the so called good life at age 65. I saw the idiocy of this failed concept.
What I mean is, are we going to wait until we are 65 to travel to Europe and see the world? To young Australians that is crazy idea, thus we as a generation and particular generation Y age group are way to impatient for that. Baby boomers may rightfully say we also have far greater opportunity today. However, despite that society is riddled with the failed concept that you should work 5 or 6 days a week and have the weekend off, work 12 months and get 4 weeks off, work 45 years of your life and then finally retire and start living.
This concept of putting life off continually is so ingrained into our western societies is almost a sickness. What do I mean? I mean life is too precious to put it off. Life is to be lived and experienced now, not one day in the future.
Am I suggesting we should party today and not plan for tomorrow? Absolutely not! I am suggesting we plan today to become time rich and live our life now, whilst creating an extraordinary future. Some may say, “Sure if I was a self made millionaire like you, then I to could have a millionaires lifestyle and live life to the fullest everyday.”
Wrong! I created a millionaires lifestyle well before I became a millionaire and that’s what I am going to show you how in this book. When I became a millionaire I actually lost some of my lifestyle. I had Millions in cash and assets and was the wealthiest I had ever been financially, but the poorest in time and overly stressed and frustrated, because for a period I had neglected key principles which I will share in this book.
How can this be? Easy. Why? Because lifestyle has less to do with money then it has to do with planning. This Time Rich concept is all about working less and achieving more, but also about doing this instantly, differently and freeing your life up so you to can live a millionaires lifestyle in 12 months or less without needing to become a millionaire.
Now of course if you would like to become a millionaire then I have already written numerous books that can teach you various aspects of how to accomplish that. I have enclosed a free DVD offer with this book that will also teach you how, but this book is about something far more valuable then becoming a millionaire.
This book is about becoming Time Rich, as after all money buys Time and that’s the most valuable asset there is and I am going to show you how a small amount of money can buy you the life of your dreams.
You will be introduced to the concept I implemented into my life over a decade ago of taking a weeks holiday every 4 to 8 weeks and having mini-retirements. As an example I often work for 3 months and then take one month off.
I have also been inspired by Tim Ferris in his book 4 Hour Workweek was great to finally hear someone else espousing the concept I have been teaching for the past decade that I now call Time Rich.
People used to think I was crazy over ten years ago when I was telling people they should take one weeks holiday every 4 to 8 weeks if they truly want to live a great life – i.e. miniretirements.
The great thing about the Time Rich concept is I believe 70 percent of the population can apply these strategies to have a millionaire’s lifestyle within 12 months and they don’t require one cent of capital – nothing more then a shift in thinking and a shift in strategy and the use of technology that now makes it possible.
30 percent of the population by nature of their profession will have some limitations but can still apply many of these concepts and free up at least some of their time. This book will be as equally valuable to employees as employers, those that are just starting out and to those multi millionaires who have the money but have lost the time and their way. As well it will be equally valuable to those thinking the only way to create the dream life is that you have to be an investor when there is actually a far simpler way which you are about to discover.
