Over the last 15 years of my life I’ve dedicated a large amount of my time to answering the question:
Why is it despite the same upbringing, background, economy and opportunities that some achieve so much in life, especially financially, and others fail miserably?
Have you attended a 21st Century 4 Day event yet?
If not, check out www.21stcenturyacademy.com and become a 21st Century 5 Year Member for as little as $25 per week and it comes with a 100% money back guarantee*
Some of the things I’ve discovered are:
1. Excuses
A large majority of people have elaborate and often sophisticated excuses to justify not facing their fears and taking action with their lives.
My millionaire mentor always taught me; “Jamie, you can either make money or make excuses but you can’t do both at the same time, so make up your mind”.
I’m glad 15 years ago I decided to stop making excuses, so I could start making money.
Is it any coincidence I become a self-made millionaire within less than 5 years whilst still in my 20s?
I’m not sharing that to impress you, but to impress upon you that if I didn’t stop B-S-ing myself and eliminate the excuses, I’d still be broke and living a frustrated life of regret and even more excuses.
One of my friend’s and mentors Anthony Robbins always said:
“If you can’t you must”.
If you don’t become a self-made millionaire within 5 Years from becoming a 21st Century 5 Year Member, they’ll not only give you 100% of your money back, but they’ll even send you to Fiji for a week long holiday for giving it your best shot*

2. Blame
This is a big one.
Study unsuccessful people and you’ll soon discover they are into the blame game.
It’s my parents fault; I had a tough upbringing; I didn’t get the education I needed; I had bad luck; I was taken advantage of; it’s the Government’s fault; if only I had started 15 years ago… And so on.
I’m sure you know people right now that try to blame others.
The easiest way to study failure is to hang around people that are going nowhere fast in life.
I don’t recommend this, as you tend to become who you associate with.
That’s why our parents always taught us as kids, be careful of who you hang around. Yet as adults, we often don’t follow this rule and often hang around under performers or average performers.
In life, not only can we not afford blame and excuses, we can’t afford to hang around mediocrity.
I mean if Lleyton Hewitt wanted to improve his tennis game, should he hang around us?
No. Our game may improve, but Lleyton’s wouldn’t.
For him to improve, he needs to play against Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal.
It’s the same for us in life.
Want to become wealthy, but you hang around poor people all the time?
Then it simply isn’t going to happen.
Jamie, are you saying I should dump all my poor friends?
Absolutely and do it immediately.
No, I’m joking!
But what I am saying is this: Seek out people that are playing the game of life at a higher level than you and this will raise your standards and improve your life just through association.
Do you have a good Accountant?
I mean one that really understands what it takes to be wealthy because they are, not just a boring conservative one that knows little about wealth creation?
If not, check out www.21stcenturyaccounting.com.au
There are many other reasons people fail, which I’ll be covering in Part 2 of this email.
Until then..
Successful Investing!
