How to solve the illegal boat arrivals and the concern over large population growth in Australia in one go? And 1000 Scholarships to 21st Century Education

Unfortunately during one of the most boring election campaigns currently that I can recall to date, the media and both political parties will exploit the irrational fear Australians have over illegal immigrants arriving by boat to our shores.

Why do I say irrational?

It’s because Australia compared to the rest of the world receives such a small quota of illegal immigrants it’s hardly a problem of any significance that will cause Australians any major concern.

I mean the UK has 100 times more illegal immigrants arriving from Europe into the UK every year. As do many other countries yet in Australia it’s treated as one of the major problems that Australia is facing.

The small number that we have arriving via boats is so insignificant in comparison.

And considering that Australia’s modern civilization was actually started by boat people it’s quite ironic that our response to those risking their lives to have a chance in our country is so cynical

So here’s my suggestion.

If we are concerned about how large of a population this country will have, how about we allow those arriving by boat to stay if they can prove they are more committed and likely to succeed and contribute to our society compared to say the laziest 10% of Australians who are born here are.

And those laziest 10% of Australians who have less commitment than the boat people, generally whinge and whine, are overly cynical and think its impossible for the  average Australian to become  successful in this country.  No doubt these people also exploit our generous welfare or at least bitch and moan about their jobs continually when most people in the world would love to even have a job. Let’s put these people on the arriving boats and send them back to where the boats came from and let them immigrants stay. This would give these lazy sense of entitlement Australians a reality check and allow them to learn what the words gratitude and appreciation for what they have really means, help them lose their sense of entitlement, lose the attitude that somehow this country owes them a living simply because they were born here.

If we are honest even if illegal boat people  arrive with no money, no English speaking abilities, no contacts and even no education I’d say their chances are pretty good that they will out perform the bottom laziest 10% of Australians and contribute more to our society.

The fact that they often given up their entire life savings, leave everything behind, risk their lives in many cases to come here suggests a level of dedication and commitment to chase a dream of a better life that sadly a small percentage of Australians take for granted that don’t deserve to live in this great country.

I also know that statistics highlight that immigrants that arrive into Australia are 4 times more likely to become self made millionaires then those Australians that are born here.

Why?

It’s no doubt because immigrants despite often starting with nothing, often not even knowing English, no support network and often faced with active discrimination overcome all these odds and succeed.

Maybe it has a lot to do with the fact they are willing to work instead of whinge. They aren’t cynical and think everything is a scam and nothing works but have a dream they pursue like their live depends upon it, don’t make excuses that they don’t have the money so they can’t get an education or start a business. They know if they are absolutely committed they’ll find a way.

They also have got out of their comfort zone and put themselves in a position where they’ll risk failure for the pursuit of a greater future.

They also realize how rich and lucky Australians are and see the enormous opportunities to become wealthy that exist in this country so they  go to work making money and making a life for them and their families rather then being busy making excuses of why things can’t be done.

Some Australian’s that are born into a rich country that have never seen real poverty actually don’t even realize that they are rich and are deluded in thinking that they are actually poor. They often feel it’s impossible for the average person to become wealthy.

Yet billions on the planet would swap positions with them in a heartbeat even with the poorest Australian that exists.

There is nothing worse then a poor rich man and unfortunately some Australians in many cases are riddled with this poor rich-man disease which can be eliminated by a simple reality check and in some cases a good traditional swift kick up the arse, to say wake up!

To those small percentage of lazy Australians who I don’t respect I’d say,

Wake up and have a go or do the right thing and get on a boat and leave this great country so we can have room for truly dedicated individuals who would be proud to become Australians and contribute to this great nation.

I’ll even pay for your boat ticket as a service to this great country!

Jamie once again you put forward one of the most sensible comments i have heard in my 33 years, i was born in australia and nobody could have said it better than you just have, without risk there is no success, and without success there is a poor little, poor me person living in this country that eats more than 3 meals a day and still chooses to be totally against drive and success because it was not handed to them, your a gem mate wish you could run this country!!!

  2. Hi Jamie,

You tell it as it is.

Immigrants contribute to the economy with or without their skills and need to be given the opportunity to develope their dreams of a better life and like you say have spent their savings to risk a better life in Australia or risk escape in poor conditions to get to Australia so they can live their dreams. Life is taken for granted by some who do not view their lives as an advantage whether they are beneficiaries or are employed when in other countries these do not exist due to corruption, war, persecution etc. People really do need to see the bigger picture so they not only appreciate what they have but also what others have to offer or how better off some will be. People really need to count their blessings and make things happen, not just for themselves but for their families and others if they can.

Hi all, Here is what I have got to share. I was new to the market six months back like a boy with the baseball. Would like to thank Sam, my friend who referred me to http://www.21stcenturyacademy.com. I didn’t evevn knew where to start. Never knew the consequences that small mistakes could take me to ? Money is a result of the positive attitude and work ethics. How true, no pain then no gain. The satisfaction that you get seeing the result for what you do is amazing. Its like fishing, you target one and get two even more. Trust me, you wouldn’t succeed in a morning. It takes lot of hard works most importantly guidence. You are never going to learn the ups and downs in the share market in a day or two unless you know the rules and some one to guide you. Understanding the rules in a game is the most important thing. No wonder why all the games got a coach. The way of approaching towards something is the basic thing one should understand. I was ready to take risks knowing that there will be. I left that to my friend who enrolled me into Jamie’s seminar. I wouldn’t say that” I still can’t believe where I am” rather I would say where this is taking me to. No wonder why I am here. My sincere thanks to Jamie who guide me at tough times. Knowing that one who experienced the real things would be capable of guiding others. Believe me, the entire life style changed thereafter. However, if you trust a person, you also believe what they say. And this connects faith to belief. I learned to bring things back on track after attending Jamie’s talk. I never knew the amount of oppurtunity for making money here in Share trading unless I attended the seminar. All that matters is not how much you spend but where you spend !!! Believe me, you will never know the growth/result unless you really feel it. I am proud to say that I made lot of my friends attend the seminar to make them where they are now. Thank you so much, Jamie.

  4. Ilse Aschenbrenner says:

Hi Jamie, you have a flawed argument.
    Going by the poor logic of your argument your same argument can be used for any illegal act. For example;
If this country has a smaller percentage of murderers and we look to another (and a larger populated) country that has a higher percentage of murderers, because our percentage is lower than theirs, then by your logic it is ok that we have murderers just because it is a small amount. Any percentage of an illegal act is unacceptable.
Now after that simple point, our immigration system is there to filter who we deem acceptable in integrating with our families, communities, schools, public places, child care centers etc and see to it that they are fit, safe and capable to work and live in these areas. A simple process that has a simple rule, law and understanding.
To continue, not all immigrants are hard working. The percentage of lazy immigrants could arguably at the least match your suggested 10% of lazy Australian born citizens. Your solution doesn’t address what is clearly an issue that you should be addressing. You should be engaging with that 10% of lazy Australian born citizens and moving them into the work force not pushing the problem aside. Again going by your poor logic then 10% of the children from the immigrants that could be born here would also turn out lazy and they too would become a part of the problem that you wanted to ship away!
Use intelligence, stop jumping on the bandwagon of political agenda. Start realizing how much of a pawn you can be to a political agenda when you don’t use your intelligence. Be aware that freedom is not only having the ability to say yes to everything but also the freedom to say no.

Send them back after rebuilding the detention centre is the most sensible opinion so far.
These so called would be refugees act as if they have some exclusive right to come to our country! For every so called refugee the government allows into the country endangers the lives of genuine Australian citizens.
There is no way any government agency can reliably ascertain what some of these muslamites plan to unleash on the rest of us once they’ve gained access to vent their hatred on all of us. Now tell me where I’m wrong?
